Immerse LDN, nestled in the lively waterfront district of Excel London, recently celebrated a significant achievement as the Formula 1® Exhibition emerged as its most popular and enduring event, boasting sales of 340,000 tickets. As the 2025 Formula 1® season kicks off this weekend, this triumph solidifies Immerse LDN’s reputation as a top destination for immersive entertainment, with over one million tickets sold for various events since its inception. Lauded by 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill, the exhibition has garnered acclaim from fans, media, and celebrities, leading to its extension until March 2025 due to high demand and earning the title of Best Visitor Experience at the 2024 Access All Areas Awards.
Presented by Luna Entertainment Group, the exhibition spanned 192 days and featured an array of exclusive Formula 1® championship vehicles, historical items, and contributions from leading teams, covering 36,000 sqft. The exhibit also included a state-of-the-art simulator that attracted 70,000 participants, culminating in a remarkable 4.6 out of 5 customer satisfaction score on Google reviews. These impressive numbers surpassed previous records set in Madrid, Vienna, and Toronto, and even Excel London’s own prior record of 314,000 tickets with Jurassic World: The Exhibition.
James Cassidy, President of FKP Scorpio Entertainment Ltd, said: “We’ve enjoyed an exceptional partnership with Immerse LDN, Excel and our producers Round Room Live, delivering record breaking shows and award-winning experiences. This exhibition’s success highlights London’s appetite for immersive entertainment, and we’re excited to continue our collaboration with the launch of Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition, opening on March 26.”
Isabella Dwyer, General Manager for The Formula 1® Exhibition, added: “London has been a landmark location for the Formula 1® Exhibition, attracting fans from across the UK and beyond. The incredible reception we’ve received here reflects the city’s passion for Formula 1 and immersive experiences.”
Damian Norman, Director of Immersive Entertainment & Events at Excel London, commented: “The success of the Formula 1® Exhibition reinforces Immerse LDN’s position as the UK’s premier immersive entertainment destination. With more than one million tickets sold and five immersive experiences set to run this summer, we’re proud to contribute to the cultural and economic growth of the Royal Docks.”
With its successful conclusion, the Formula 1® Exhibition is set to continue its international journey, making room for the upcoming Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition, which has already seen an advance sale of 65,000 tickets. The upcoming schedule at Immerse LDN includes The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in London and the debut of Elvis Evolution this spring, with more attractions on the horizon. Positioned along Excel’s waterfront, Immerse LDN is a key part of the venue’s £350-million regeneration initiative, aimed at attracting 2.5 million visitors each year and enhancing the cultural appeal of the area.
